Director of Government Affairs

Directs and performs daily operations of the HBA Government Affairs Department to include public policy, issues management, regulatory and technical affairs, and political committee management. These objectives are achieved through monitoring local government agendas and actions for items impacting the industry, recommending responses, identifying proactive measures, and maintaining lines of communications with local government officials within the CSHBA jurisdictions

Regulatory Affairs Coordinator

Works directly with the Director of Government Affairs to monitor and review all government regulatory activities that affect the housing and building industry. Cultivates and maintains strong working relations with members, government and regulatory agencies, and other statewide organizations on issues relative to the industry. Identify, schedule, and recruit educational programs needed for CSHBA Members. Coordinate and staff meetings for Technical and other Government Affairs Committees.

Directs all membership programs which include recruitment, retention and engagement within the association. Plans and coordinates the HBA home shows as well as membership events such as the Annual Awards Ceremony, PAC Golf Tournament, Emerging Leaders Golf Tournament, Builder Product Expo, Chili Fest, Annual Membership Reception and Board Installation, Party on the Patio, and the Holiday Party.

Oversees all marketing, communications, and branding efforts for promoting the HBA brand and its brand extension by delivering communication plans that support the Association's strategic priorities and elevate its position within the industry and the community. Manages the HBA's website, social media channels, weekly e-newsletter, marketing and event material creation and oversight, and drives strategic marketing campaigns.

Event Sales Coordinator & Administrative Assistant

The Event Sales Coordinator assists the Director of Member Services with the operation of events. Responsibilities include booth sales for the home shows, advertising sales for the Parade of Homes magazine, and other duties as assigned.

Workforce Development Program Coordinator

This position reports to the HBA Cares and Workforce Development Coordinator and is responsible for increasing program funding and enrollment, building industry relationships, coordinating events and job fairs, serving as a program spokesperson, managing social media accounts and administrative support. This position requires a dynamic, forward-thinking individual to promote and expand the Careers in Construction Program as described in the WORK Act Grant Program. This is a 17-month full-time position.
