The HBA Installs 2017 President Mark Long of Vanguard Homes
The Housing & Building Association of Colorado Springs continued its 64-year tradition of electing distinct industry leaders to represent the most influential association in the Pikes Peak region. Mark Long, owner of Vanguard Homes, was installed as the 2017 HBA President at the association’s Annual Membership Reception, held Wednesday, November 16 at Pikes Peak Regional Building Department. John Cassiani, 2012 HBA President, was chosen to install Long.
The HBA’s 2016 President Tim Seibert, owner and president of N.E.S., Inc., moved into the position of Immediate Past President, and Mike DeGrant of Aspen View Homes was installed as the President-Elect. Ryan Klein (Sherman & Howard, LLC) and Lain Chappell (Solid Rock Custom Homes) were elected to the Board of Directors. Members re-elected to the Board were Ralph Braden (Nor’wood Limited), Mike Ruebenson (La Plata Communities), Todd Stephens (Windsor Ridge Homes), and Jen Gesick (Jen Barry Productions).
Recognized at the reception were 15 volunteer Chairs of the various committees and councils of CSHBA. Together, these and other members of the Association provided critical support to the building industry with more than 5,000 volunteer hours in 2016.
CSHBA’s membership represents more than 500 companies. The achievements of our members and the volunteer time they contribute not only serve to further the HBA’s mission to keep housing affordable, but give strength to the housing and building industry in our local community as a whole.
