Come with ideas, leave with inspiration!
WELCOME to the 2010 Colorado Springs Parade of Homes...now, in the fifty-sixth year of this extraordinary county-wide, home tour! Prepare to be enthralled as you enter some of the most exclusive communities to experience 23 of the most spectacular examples of structural design, interior design, custom construction and outdoor living. What you will see in each of the 2010 Parade sites is the comprehensive effort of thousands of contributing vendors, which when all of the dust settles, create individual homes designed to inspire awe.
Around each corner, you will be astounded; by the artistry and innovation. Wear walking shoes and grab some friends. So much to see, so many experts to lend their advice...but after seventeen days, it's gone. The 2010 Parade runs August 6 through August 22; Monday through Sunday; 11am - 7pm. Your ticket is good for all days of the event, and can be purchased at Safeway stores for $10 for Adults ages 18 - 64, $5 for Seniors age 65 and older.

Hunger Never Takes a Vacation
Each summer, as need increases and food and financial donations decrease, Care and Share Food Bank for Southern Colorado is forced to reduce food drive allocations to partner organizations by 36% - or 20,000 pounds of food - each month. To alleviate the need for this reduction, Care and Share requires an additional 270,000 pounds of food. In order to operate our summer feeding programs at their current capacity, we must also raise an additional $250,000. From June 1 - September 7, 2010, we are embarking on The Campaign to End Summer Hunger. During this campaign, community partners and the public will be invited to participate in a number of community programs and events to help us meet our goal.
About the Housing & Building Association of Colorado Springs
The Housing and Building Association of Colorado Springs was formed in 1952 by a group of builders who saw a need to unite to address the many concerns and issues affecting the home building industry. The HBA of Colorado Springs is made up of more than 500 member companies including, but not limited to, builders, developers, trade contractors, suppliers, mortgage lenders, Realtors, title companies, remodelers, interior designers, architects, and landscapers. These companies all play a vital role in the construction industry in Colorado Springs and surrounding areas. Together we contribute to the growth, prosperity and quality of life this exceptional community has come to enjoy.
About HBA Cares
HBA Cares is the charitable foundation associated with the Housing & Building Association of Colorado Springs (HBA). Connecting community needs to the resources of the housing and building industry. Supporting the Community we love. The primary mission is to support nonprofit organizations and programs that provide housing and living assistance to individuals and families in need in the Pikes Peak Region. We also offer support for the charitable activities of HBA members and their employees by partnering with them on projects they're committed to. Through the help of HBA members and the community, we make financial contributions, organize volunteer help and in-kind donations, and help raise awareness of non-profit organizations.
