CODE REVIEW COMMITTEE
Representatives from the Regional Building Deptartment participate with HBA members in discussing items related to everyday operations at RBD, items of general interest, concerns of the building industry, and the building codes and proposed revisions.

LAND USE COMMITTEE
Reviews land development/building issues affecting the city and county – zoning, subdivision, planning, criteria, fees, ordinances, etc.

UTILITIES COMMITTEE
Representatives from Colorado Springs Utilities participate with HBA members attending in discussions regarding development-related issues – including costs, material specs., timing, regulations, etc. Click here for recent updates.

JOBSITE SAFETY COMMITTEE
The Jobsite Safety Committee to identify and reduce the incidence and severity of jobsite accidents. This, in turn, may prevent OSHA from visiting your business and may save you the time and resources needed to fight over safety violations.

GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS
POLITICAL ACTION COMMITTEE (PAC)
Members monitor and ensure HBA’s involvement in the political process as it affects our industry at the local, state, and federal levels. Contact sarah@cshba.com for more information.

PAC GOLF COMMITTEE
Members plan and organize the annual PAC golf tournament including site, schedule, meals, prizes, sponsorships, putting contests, etc. This is a major fundraiser for PAC.

DEVELOPMENT
HOME AND GARDEN COMMITTEE
Plans and coordinates the annual HBA Home & Garden Show including site selection, dates, displays, sponsors, promotion, and seminars. Monitors the budget, promotion and on-site management. This is a major fundraising event for the HBA.

MAME COMMITTEE (Major Achievements in Marketing Excellence)
Promotes the recognition of significant contributions to the residential marketing of new homes and related industries by local Builders, Developers and Associates. Culminates in an annual awards presentation. You must be a SMC member to be on this committee.

PARADE OF HOMES COMMITTEE
Coordinates the Annual Parade of Homes (a major fundraising event for the HBA), determines sites, monitors developments of sites/adherence to Parade rules, coordinates builder selection, monitors budget and promotion. Members are appointed by the Chair.

PHILANTHROPY
HBA CARES
This charitable foundation was established by HBA members to help connect the needs of our community to the resources available within the housing and building industry.

Members carry out the strategic plan of the association to engage, retain and grow the association through various committees, including Membership, Networking Events, Member Education, and Sponsorships.

The Membership Committee is divided into several subcommittees who meet at various times as directed by the subcommittee chairs.
