FEE CHANGES TO EL PASO COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION WORK IN THE RIGHT OF WAY PERMIT

The El Paso County Board of County Commissioners passed a new fee schedule for work in the right-of-way. The new fee schedule replaces the Interim System and is effective as of July 1. The schedule combines the asphalt and sub-grade fees into one fee that is based on the age at the time of replacement, changes the fee for the number of lanes closed eliminating fees for peak and non-peak hours, and creates an incentive program that discounts future permits for contractors who meet certain notification and job completion requirements, submit compaction test results, and set-up and maintain the zone per the approved traffic control plan. You can review these fee changes here.

Regional Building Department Launches Enhancements to Site

The Pikes Peak Regional Building Department launched several key enhancements to its website that will provide additional information on permits issued in the region. The changes will allow you look at all of the permit activity through graphs, in table format, and through mapping for new single family and commercial properties along with the remodeling work done in both of those categories. To access this feature go to the RBD’s website www.pprbd.org, scroll over permits and on the drop down click on Activity Charts and click on one of the bars to get information on each of the permits issued including maps to all of the properties in the chart down to street level. For more information please contact Marla Novak or John Kisiel at HBA.
