Landscape Plan Changes -
In January a new requirement was put in place by the Colorado Legislature. C.R.S. 12-45-104 requires all landscape plans submitted to a city to be stamped by a licensed landscape architect.
Effective immediately all landscape plans submitted to the City of Fountain for commercial, industrial and residential developments (5 or more units) must be stamped by a licensed landscape architect.

Use Tax Proposal –
The City of Fountain hired HDR to do an analysis to assist the City of Fountain with developing a cost estimate for the materials associated with typical single family residential construction in the City of Fountain for the purpose of assessing use tax on new construction. The analysis will take several months to finish and until the analysis is complete the proposal from the City is to begin the 18.2% on May 15th and go to $50 per house to recoup the HDR costs. HBA is looking for one of its members who could verify the data being used by HDR in their analysis and 3 new home builders to participate in the study. Please contact Kevin Walker or Marla Novak if interested. marla@cshba.com
