HBA Home & Garden Show
February 24-26, 2017
Considered to be the area’s largest and most unique show of its kind, the Housing & Building Association of Colorado Springs’ annual Home & Garden Show drew nearly 6,000 attendees the weekend of February 24-26 at the Mortgage Solutions Financial Expo Center.
The HBA Home & Garden Show showcases landscapes designed for Colorado living, as well as sun rooms, water features, fire pits, outdoor living areas and many other products from local companies. Each year, show attendees vote for their favorite landscape display. Fredell Enterprises, Inc. and C & C Sand and Stone took top honors, while Provost Tree Spade and Landscape and Fisk Lawnscapes received honorable mentions.
As a regular feature of the show, Harding Nursery presented the first 200 attendees with free flowers. Informational seminars took place throughout the weekend, ranging in topics from vertical gardening to xeriscaping. Stacey Jensen of Colorado Springs was the lucky winner of a five-person hot tub, courtesy of Hanson HotSpring Spas.
Donations were accepted at the door for Care and Share Food Bank of Southern Colorado. In total, the Home & Garden Show collected 520 lbs. of food and $230 in cash, which equates to more than 2,300 donated meals for our community.
The HBA would like to thank all of the exhibitors who participated in the show, as well as media partners The Gazette and Cumulus Media, and this year’s sponsors: Champion Windows, C & C Sand and Stone, Gazette Media, Hanson HotSpring Spas, Harding Nursery, Mike Shaw Buick GMC and Xfinity.
