Ron Covington
Many of you are already aware that Ron Covington was in a skiing accident at Copper Mountain last month and sustained a serious brain injury. After being in a coma for several days, Ron has transitioned back to consciousness and was transferred to Craig Hospital to begin what is sure to be a lengthy journey of rehabilitation.
In conversations with Ron’s family, and his many friends and associates in the home building industry, so many have been asking what they can do to help and support Ron through his recovery process. As one might expect, even with the insurance that is in existence, the costs associated with the ICU and subsequent rehabilitation will be substantial.
Those who know Ron well understand that he is a man of great humility. Though various requests and ideas have been suggested to help raise funds from the builder community, we felt that the best way to respect Ron’s wishes would be to set up an account that we can each contribute to. The groundswell of support and offers to help has been nothing short of amazing, and we can honor him at this point in his recovery by channeling our efforts together to make a difference. The realization is certainly present that these are trying economic times for all, but if we pull together and contribute a little, collectively we can make a huge impact for Ron and his family.
