Opportunities Within the HBA
OSHA 10-Hour Residential Construction Safety Course
This program will be taught by Ken Mullinax, an authorized OSHA outreach instructor from SFI Compliance, Inc. and will concentrate on how the OSHA regulations affect residential construction. Focus will be paid to new and recent OSHA regulatory changes. This course will cover OSHA regulations relating to:
Intro to OSHA, Safety Policy, Ladders, PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), Access & Housekeeping, Power & Hand Tools, Electrical Power & Power Cords, Scaffolding, Fall Protection, Motor Vehicles, Excavation & Trenching, and more. Upon completion you will receive an OSHA 10-Hour Construction Safety Card but you must attend both days to receive the card. Member: $140; Non-Member: $170

Project Management Coming Spring 2017
The primary responsibility of a project manager is to get the project built on time, on budget, and with a happy customer. By applying the concepts and strategies of this course, the participants will increase their professional value and thus bring value to the company and to the customer. This class is intended for: Business owners, project managers, superintendents, sales managers, remodelers, Anyone involved in the pre-construction and construction process including small volume builders, remodelers, and custom and semi-custom home builders.
